Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for 372 and 408 Depot Street

On Wednesday, July 23rd, MHO and the Asheville Chamber of Commerce celebrated the reopening of the Residences at the Glen Rock Hotel and the revitalized commercial spaces at 372 & 408 Depot Street following extensive repairs from Tropical Storm Helene.

Both 372 and 408 Depot Street sustained substantial damage during the flooding in the River Arts District, with 408 Depot Street remaining without power for several months. Nine months after the storm, the Glen Rock Hotel’s 22 affordable apartment units and the local businesses in both buildings officially opened once again with the ribbon-cutting ceremony on July 23rd.

The ceremony was followed by a light brunch and coffee. Additionally, we were joined by Explore Asheville to commemorate the start of a new mural on 372 Depot Street as part of the Black Cultural Heritage Trail
