Mountain Housing Opportunities was founded in 1988 by volunteers who wanted to ensure that everyone – no matter their income – had a safe, stable, and affordable place to call home. Since then, MHO has worked tirelessly to create, preserve, and revitalize affordable homes in thriving neighborhoods in Buncombe County and beyond. The need for affordable housing in our region has never been greater, especially as we continue to recover from Tropical Storm Helene. We need your help as we scale our work to meet this challenge.
